Hi Clem, I just wanted to say thank you for my recent order of a 15″ vellum which was for a nice Barnes and Mullins 12 1/4 ” hooped 5 string banjo, probably made by Abbott. I have bought cheaper vellums before but there is no comparison to the lovely quality of the one you supplied. Also the instructions are excellent. I have fitted many vellum before but not in the same way. Your technique made it a lot easier! The main difference was folding the vellum over the flesh hoop and then placing the tension hoop over the top. I’ve never done that before. It made it a lot easier to get the initial fit right. Anyway, thanks again and I’ll not be bothering with cheaper vellums anymore.
