Nickel plated Wedge Plate and Ebony Wedges (5/8” screw included). See pics for dimensions. Prior to 1939 the majority of banjos were fitted with a wedge plate. Two wedges, usually ebony, were inserted between the wedge plate and the hoop to ensure that the banjo neck was secure. Many old banjos have been stored away which once belonged to a long-lost friend or relative and often the wedge plate and/or ebony wedges have been lost. Without the wedge plate and ebony wedges the instrument would be unplayable. We supply large ebony wedges. The chances are, you will have to adapt them to fit your instrument.
