This tailpiece, commonly known as the “Claw” tailpiece, is compatible with both 4-string and 5-string banjos. The internal bottom plate features five individual “fingers” designed for use with loop-end strings, as well as five holes to accommodate ball-end strings. A thumb screw located on the bottom plate allows for full adjustment of both angle and height. Additionally, the tailpiece includes a spring-loaded “clamshell” top cover plate for ease of use and secure string placement. Each tailpiece comes complete with an attachment bolt and nut for straightforward installation.
