Hand made from very old well-seasoned maple This handmade bridge is made for banjos strung with nylon or gut strings or for zither-banjos strung with a mixture of nylon/gut and steel strings. It is an excellent alternative to our Cammeyer zither-banjo bridge. The mature maple gives a cracking tone. Our Mapex bridges are cut pre notched (ready to play) or with string notch/groove guides measuring a depth and width of 0.05mm. If opting for the notch/groove guides, your correct depths and widths of the string slots should be adjusted, with the use of a file, to suit the strings gauges used by the player.
