It is a physical process which requires your image to freeze for a few seconds to complete. During that interruption it is impossible to take your shot. To avoid this problem, HIKMICRO have developed software which has replaced the physical shutter and removed this problem. Powered by a combination of internal batteries and a removable 18650, the Stellar 3.0 delivers an impressive run time of 9 Hours.
